絕對不要相信電腦比你聰明,尤其是跟$$相關的

這幾天,都有生活瑣事在忙;要不是手機當的亂七八糟,要不就是NB的主機板更換;最後,這件事情影響最大,CommonWealth竟然將我的利率給搞錯了!

好,整件事情是這樣子;印象中,我的利率應該是4.25%(till 31 Dec, 2009),
可是哩,CommonWealth的網站上是看不到帳戶的現行利率,只有累計出來的利息;
加上澳洲的利息通常會先被扣上17%的個人所得稅,
所以,想要知道自己的利率,得要好好計算一番。

很好……..在八月中後自己簡單計算的結果,
恩?怎麼好像只有2.5%左右的樣子?!
在此情況下,趕緊寫信給網站的客服…..
結果,沒幾天就收到這封信。

In relation to your enquiry about the Bonus Interest for your Netbank Saver, please be advised that I have forwarded a request to the relevant department to apply the bonus interest rate of 1.50% to the existing interest rate of 2.75%. Therefore, your Netbank Saver account will attract the interest rate of 4.25% as of tomorrow.

I do apologise for the inconvenience this has caused.

If you would like to have the bonus interest rate backdated to the date of the campaign (20 July 2009), you will need to visit a branch convenient to you to have this rectified as this delegation falls with the branch network.

To avoid any further delays, please visit the branch you opened up your Netbank Saver account with, 240 Queen Street Brisbane QLD 4000, to have this ammended.

還真的是算錯哩~
而且如果要述及既往,我還得親自去開戶分行跑一趟哩!
真是的……

在心裡嘀咕了一陣子之後,還是在上禮拜一乖乖去分行辦理了….
結果櫃檯的職員將這封信給COPY一份,然後說她權限不足,必須轉給其他負責人員;
那她會請負責人員『當天』給我訊息。

很不幸的….我沒有收到任何訊息。
到了禮拜三,心中真的小火了!
跑到學校裡的Branch,跟櫃台的服務人員說明情勢之後,
因為接近下班時間(0400PM),所以也沒有馬上連絡上當時的CWB櫃台人員。

好吧~一直撐到禮拜五,終於收到一封信:

Hi JYUN-JI LIN,

I spoke to you the other day at the 240 queen street branch in regards to you interest, I’m sorry I didn’t email you earlier but I have forward your letter to Elle who is looking after the back dating. If you have any problem please don’t hesitate to Email me

我當天也非常火氣大地寫封信回去。

I’m Jyun Ji Lin, and thanks for your reply on Friday.

I think, I found nothing in the booklet of “General Information and Terms and Conditions” said it is NOT ILLEGAL for banks to modify the saving rate without reasonable announcement.
For several times I went to CWB branches located in QueenStreet & UQ campus, the traffic cost and time spent should be unnecessary in origin.

I’m quite pleased with your help, but somehow quite unsatisfied with this situation. There is no reason for clients like me to figure out the errors of system by ourselves and need to pay so much attention on further handling process. From the view of laws, I think it would be suitable for me to sue such treatment of inequality. Pardon me, I’m in a … mood of upset now.

I deeply hope the next week I could get some positive news from CWB, or I would sincerely think about transferring my account to other banking systems, and providing such suggestions to my friends. Please help to check the current status of progress. Thank you very much.

也如同她信中所說的,她沒等到明天,在下午就打電話給我解釋了。
印象中是補加了40塊澳幣的利息給我;
可能是系統作帳要時間,至少我現在上網還是沒看到這筆資料;
不過態度讓我很滿意,我決定禮拜三再看看了。

所以結論….
哪有甚麼理所當然的!
事情覺得怪怪就要去爭取!
銀行….媽的,相信銀行、電信業者的計算是「電腦比人腦精準」的話,
那妳就很難知道事實的真相啦!
